This GPU card using 1 GB DDR5 with 256 bus speed on 4,000MHZ (4Ghz) for and for gpu on 775 Mhz. MSI Afterburner are interesting feature that with it you can make custom setting and over clock your GPU easily and on my test I reach 4,8Ghz GPU speed and 975Mhz memory clock and it make about 23% performance increase. But you need more cooler if you want to do it.

On standard speed this GPU show me good performance on game test, on Battlefield Bad Company 2 (1900x1200 setting) this card provide 36 FPS and it's little higher with his equal competitor Nvidia GTX 460 which only reach 34 FPS. on Metro 2033 game this card reach 20 FPS (1900X1200) FPS and his competitor Nvidia GTX 460 only reach maximum 16FPS. it's mean 5% higher performance yes it's not significant number, but on a lower setting the gap between them show more significant number.

2. Sapphire Radeon HD 6970

This card is high end performance, if we compare with his brother HD 6950 this GPU have more shader and texture unit (1536SP/96TMU). This GPU work on 880Mhz and memory on 5500Mhz. Exclusive feature like : Enhanced Quality Anti Aliasing) EQAA, AMD Power Tune Technology, and switch able dual BIOS. Sapphire Radeon HD 6970 use big vapor chamber cooling system and support full CrossfireX (multi GPU) for more performance. Dual switch BIOS placed on left side. to work this card need more power and provide by 8-pin+6pin power connector. Display output : @ DVI, 1xHDMI, and 2 miniDP which totally support eyefinity.

GPU performance is excellent there are significant increasing performance for older type. This performance significantly shown when it work use direcX 11 or intense Tessellation. If I compare it with their rival Nvidia GTX 570 on several test their performance ara almost equal, but on game performance such as AVP, Metro 2033, and 3Dmark 11 benchmark, HD 6970 lead significantly then Nvidia GTX570.

Even need more power from 8-pin+6-pin from PSU, at full load this card use less power then Nvidia GTX570 which use 6-pin+6-pin power connector, and it’s equal on idle.beside that working temperature Radeon HD 6970 is 43 C on idle and 85 C on heavy load it’s mean better then Nvidia GTX 570 that work 48 C on idle and 89 C at full load.

Overall this card very comfort to use in any game with high resolution and high detail. The only thing that I can’t talk about this card is PRICE.
